FIRST STRIDES ALLENTOWN

A 10-week program to help you comfortably progress from the couch to walking, jogging or running at a pace that’s right for you.
First Strides® meets weekly, offering presentations on topics ranging from what to wear to injury prevention. We then stretch and do a group walk/run. Please come dressed for activity.
Women from ages 12 to 112 are welcome to attend. Bring your daughters, mothers, neighbors, co-workers and friends.
Our mentors are First Strides® graduates,  Women’s 5K Classic committee members and Lehigh Valley Road Runners (LVRR) members.
We host 2 workshops in the summer at the Lehigh Parkway.  We meet in the evening from August 1st (2nd) – October 3rd (4th) @ 6:15 pm.  You may select Tuesday night, Wednesday night or both.
Cost: $50 (early-bird specials $45 until July 27) for single night.  $90 (early-bird specials $85 until July 27) for both nights. Fee includes literature and graduation shirt (if earned by attending 7 out of 10 sessions) Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable between people or programs.

Registration fee is non-transferrable between people or locations, and is non-refundable. Note: switching between nights will not be honored this year.

The BIP, Business Industry & Professionals Group of Palmer Township, requests your help to make our 6th Annual 5K Run, the BIP Palmer 5K, an outstanding success. Planning is in high gear for this fun and worthwhile event to be held on Palmer Community Days Weekend, Saturday, August 19th at 9am. We expect 200+ runners, and are looking forward to having a first class event for many years to come!

 

We focus on our local community, helping build a stronger tomorrow for the township as well as it’s surrounding areas. This is why we have chosen to donate proceeds to the Miracle League of Northampton County, at Easton Rotary Field located in Palmer Township.

 

ANNUAL TAKE DOWN 5K

Lehighton Athletic Booster Club Presents
COURSE: Located at Riverview Park Bowmanstown Boat Launch GPS: 438 Riverview Road Lehighton, Pa 18235. We will travel 1.5 miles down the beautiful D & L Trail before turning around for the second half of the 5k. Water station will be provided at the half way point. The kid’s fun run will be a total of 1 mile.
ENTRY FEE:  Kids Run- $15.00 includes free commemorative t-shirt
                     Pre-registration by August 1st, 2017-$20.00 includes free commemorative t-shirt.                               Day of event- $25.00 (Limited number of t-shirts available.)
AWARDS AND AGE GROUPS: Medals to be awarded for 1st -3rd in all age groups. Top male and Top female will also receive a medal. There will also be 1st -3rd for the first three wrestlers to cross the finish line.  4-8, 9-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
Race Registration:  will be held from 7:30-8:15am the day of the event underneath the pavilion at riverside park. The kids’ fun run will begin promptly at 8:30am/ The 5k run walk will begin at 9am. The walkers will start behind the runners. Race will be held rain or shine. Proceeds Benefit the Lehighton Youth wrestling team.

ANNUAL BULLDOG 5K FUN RUN/WALK

Come join us at this family friendly Bethlehem Township Community Event. This event is aimed at any and all ages and abilities! Help raise money for MS Foundation (MS RUN THE US)  and for the BTCC (Bethlehem Township Community Center).
Run to compete * Walk for a purpose * Run/walk for fun
The kid’s fun run (a little over half a mile) will be the first event to start off that morning at 8:00 am, followed by the 5k fun run/walk through Bethlehem Township at 8:30 am. 
Come to run or come to take a nice walk with family or your friends (strollers are welcome). Stick around after the race for the awards ceremony which the top 3 overall men and women will receive a trophy and top 3 men and women in the following age categories 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over will receive a medal. Plus lots of fun stuff will be in the participant’s bags.
We will run rain or shine. No pets allowed.
Proceeds for this event will help support the MS RUN The US and to help support the BTCC (Bethlehem Community Center). MS RUN THE US raises awareness and funds to support Multiple Sclerosis research, and those living with disabilities due to MS. TROJAN 5K CHALLENGE

The Parkland Cross Country team members and booster club invite you to our first annual Trojan 5K Challenge fundraiser on August 20th, 2017. This race is open to runners ages 10 and older and will be held at the high school cross country course. There will be lots of fun prizes and awards give for multiple categories.   For the low price of $27 you can help support our Trojans and experience the same course as our Parkland Cross Country runners compete and win some of the most exciting races you will ever see. You will be energized during your run by the cheering of our very own Parkland Cross Country team members throughout the course. The purpose of this fundraiser is to help our cross country teams get the necessary funding for supplies and race entry fees that are not provided by the school district.

 

  • Bib and shirt pickup will be on the day of the run, Sunday, August 20th at 7:30 AM till 8:45 AM
  • Race day registration will be available from 7:30 AM till 8:30 AM at a cost of $30 cash only. No T-Shirt for race day registration.
  • Trojan 5K Challenge T-shirts are not guaranteed if you register after July 16th.
  • Awards will be given at the conclusion of the run.
  • There will be no strollers allowed due to the terrain on the course.
  • There will be a free kids run for children 9 and under that will start shortly before the main run starts. Aproximently 8:45 AM
  • Registration for kids run will be on race day.
  • Parkland High School Cross Country team members are not allowed to participate due to a conflict with 2017 season training schedule. Parkland middle school cross country members are strongly encouraged to participate in this race.

Event Information
The ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk - Lehigh Valley features a 5K run/walk, 1 mile walk, Kids' Superhero Dash for Dad, and virtual Snooze for Dudes program. Stick around for the family-friendly post-race celebration. Participants will receive tech shirts, free food, and the opportunity to connect with others who are impacted by prostate cancer.
ZERO is proud to partner with Urology Specialists of the Lehigh Valley to end prostate cancer. The funds raised from ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk - Lehigh Valley are invested around the country to provide research for new treatments, free prostate cancer testing, and educate men and families about prostate cancer.
