Slatedale is an unincorporated community in Washington Township, northern Lehigh County , Pennsylvania and is 3.1 miles west of the borough of Slatington.
The village of Slatedale is served by the Citizen's Fire Co #1, Slatedale for fire protection and Northern Valley EMS for ambulance services. While it has its own box post office with the zip code of 18079, surrounding areas use the Slatington zip code of 18080. Both Slatedale and Slatington are named after the large amount of slate found in the area.
As of 2010 census, Slatedale was (98.4%) White, (1.09%) Asian, and (.0043%) from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were (1.09%) of the population. There are 228 Females (50.1%) and 227 Males (49.8%) with most of the population 104 (22.8%) under 18 and 351 (77.1%) 18 and over. Ages 35-49 is the highest group 104 (22.8%) followed by 50-64 with 94 (20.6%), then 65 & over with 60 (13.1%), then 25-34 with 47 (10.3%) and finally 20-24 with 35 (7.6%).
